Initial & Final Drawing Services

Initial Drawing Service

Initial drawing, is the first stage to obtain a thinner diameter than the initial diameter of the steel wire. This process is critical for the wire to approach the desired mechanical properties and dimensions.

1. Raw Material Preparation:
   • High quality low carbon steel raw materials are carefully selected and prepared for the first drawing.
2. Mould Selection:
   • The moulds to be used in the first drawing process are selected in accordance with the desired initial diameter and properties of the wire.
3. Withdrawal Process:
   • The steel wire is drawn through selected moulds. This process increases the strength of the wire while reducing its size.
4. Cooling and Lubrication:
   • During the drawing process, cooling and lubrication processes are applied to prevent heating of the wire and to maintain the surface quality.

Final Drawing Service

It is the final drawing process applied to the steel wire to reach the final desired diameter and properties. This process is necessary to make the wire suitable for its end use.

1. Fine Mould Selection:
   • The moulds to be used for final drawing are selected in accordance with the final diameter and mechanical properties of the wire.
2. Withdrawal Process:
   • The wire is passed through fine moulds to achieve the final desired diameter and properties. This process optimises the surface quality and strength of the wire.
3. Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment:
   • After the final drawing, necessary heat treatment and surface treatment processes are applied to improve the mechanical properties and surface quality of the wire.
4. Quality Control:
   • After the final drawing process, the diameter, strength and surface quality of the wire are meticulously controlled. The conformity of the products with international standards and customer demands is ensured.
