Heat Treatment Processes
- Annealing:
- Steel wires are annealed to soften them and improve their workability. This process removes the internal stresses of the material and allows the wire to be shaped more easily.
- Normalisation:
- Normalisation process is performed to homogenise the microstructure of steel wires and to improve their mechanical properties. This process increases the mechanical strength and toughness values of the wires.
- Hardening
- Hardening processes are applied to increase the surface hardness and wear resistance of the wires. This process creates a hard layer on the surface of the steel wires and extends their service life.
- Tempering
- Tempering process is performed to reduce the brittleness and increase the toughness of hardened steel wires. This process allows the material to reach the desired hardness and durability values.
- Strain Relief:
- Stress relieving is applied to remove internal stresses generated during machining and to ensure the dimensional stability of the wire. This process increases the stability of the wire and reduces the risk of deformation.
